The "AIR JORDAN 4" debuted in the 1988-1989 season.

The first color, Black/Cement Grey, was released in February 1989, making it a memorable model that was released globally for the first time.

The design is by TINKER HATFIELD.

It used the sole unit of the "AIR FLIGHT 89," Nike's first basketball shoe designed for speed players, and the tongue features the "FLIGHT" logo.

The mesh panels, plastic eyelets, and heel protector parts were also innovative for basketball shoes at the time.

Not only in basketball, but also in commercials directed by SPIKE LEE and in the movie "Do the Right Thing" released in 1989, the scene where the "AIR JORDAN 4" is stepped on was impressive, and through the media, the "AIR JORDAN 4" became an even more famous model.
