Great George Thompson, Modern design Glass Ashtray or Candy Dish.
Steuben Glass is an American art glass manufacturer, founded in the summer of 1903 by Frederick Carder and Thomas G. Hawkes in Corning, New York, which is in Steuben County.
This beautiful piece has double sided crimped handles, it was designed by George Thompson in 1939.
Measures approx 5 1/8" wide x 4 3/8" across the bowl x 1 3/4" high. Very heavy piece, almost 5 lbs.
It is etched on the bottom, Steuben, in cursive.
Condition is good vintage, has some scratches typical with age.
