This figurine is 3.5" high and has no repairs, cracks, crazing or blemishes, it is in MINT Condition. The trademark (7 Hummel Mark) places the manufacture of this piece Circa 1990-1999. This was the work of master sculptor Helmut Fischer in 1988, taken from Sister Maria’s sketches in 1938.
As always, Sister Maria drew to depict the daily items and special events in children's lives. This figurine depicts a young girl in pigtails, looking down with a flower behind her. She carries the back stamps of “First Issue 1996” and the “125th Anniversary” made in the initial year of production. It was withdrawn from production in 2002. Comes with original box and papers.
This little girl is too charming to resist.
