These are rather rare Dickies loose fit cargo shorts.
There is some pilling and minor staining typical of Dickies chinos from use, but it's not very noticeable. Please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about this.
The waist was sewn with a sewing machine to cinch it. This allows you to wear it oversized, and solves the problem of the hook coming undone because the waist size was increased.
If it's too tight, you can use a seam ripper to cut the thread from the sewn area and return it to the original waist size, so please don't worry.
