This vintage ceramic oval plate features an intricate blue and white decorative pattern with a central floral motif and detailed border design.
The drainer is a flat, oval ceramic insert with a series of small perforated holes and a central larger hole to allow fluids to pass through to the platter below. Meat drainers are highly sought after by collectors of blue and white transferware because they were often separated from their matching platters and broken over time. The oval plate measures approximately 13" long, 9 1/2" wide, and 1/2" thick. It is in good condition for its age. There are no chips or cracks, but crazing lines are present throughout.
