This is a compilation album released in '84 with a "best of" feel. It features tracks from the rare 1971 debut album "JESSICA" and the 1975 second album "INNER FEELINGS," which includes the rare groove classic "PANAMA," sampled by DJ SPINNA for "ROCK." Roy Porter is a popular, lesser-known jazz drummer in the rare groove scene, known for these two rare albums featured in the "RARE GROOVE ATOZ" magazine. This compilation includes "PANAMA" (LP VERSION instrumental), which was included in DJ MURO's "DIGGIN' FREE SOUL," "PARTY TIME" with its impressive drum break, "JESSICA" (INST & VOCAL versions), an Afro-soul jazz track included in DJ MURO's "SUPER FUNK BREAKS - LESSON 4," and the superb dancer track "HIP CITY," along with unreleased tracks like the bluesy "IN A GROOVE" and the 45-only "LONESOME MOOD," making this a valuable compilation. The jacket art is unique to this release.
