Large goldtone metal statement brooch. Features hammered metal bezel with rope detail around rim, with large yellow stone (agate? Baltic Amber?) in center. Back has both a pinback closure and a loop for hanging as a pendant. Signed on back Barmell or Barmelli. Not marked with a metal content; metal is goldtone and non-magnetic. This large statement brooch is about 2.5 inches wide.
The metal has a couple of flaws (a break in the rope border near lower left, an approximately 1/4 inch diameter rough spot near the edge on the upper right.
