“Carhart's official name for this is Blanket-Lined Washed Duck Trail Parka. The code "PB1321" was used for the Regular-sized version and "P2321" for the Tall-sized version. The "P" stood for "Parka", the "B" for "Blanket" and "21" was the color code for "Taupe". You can find it listed on the archived version of Carhartt's 1997 website.
Also, while it was made in December 1996 it was officially introduced in 1997. It's typical for Carhartt to produce stuff months and sometimes even a year in advance before they’re available for purchase.”
