Vintage glass candy container featuring a donkey pulling a barrel cart with a seated driver. Produced in the mid-20th century (circa 1930s–1950s), most likely by the Victory Glass Co. or J.H. Millstein Co. of Jeannette, Pennsylvania, these pieces are a nostalgic piece of Americana.
Originally sold in five-and-dime stores filled with tiny "seed" candies, these containers were dual-purpose: a sweet treat for children and a durable toy to play with afterward.
