Grind Stormer (V-Five in Japan) hit arcades in 1992 developed by a team of relatively new developers in Toaplan. It pushed the hardware to its limits so when it came to porting the title to the Genesis / Mega Drive, it was a marvel that it was a near-perfect transfer to home. On top of that, both versions are included in a cartridge allowing you to play with either bombs (Grind Stormer mode) or use a Slap Fight-style weapon selection with a Shield option in V-Five mode.
