Vintage Towles Log Cabin Syrup Cowboys and Indians 1940s Western Series Tin Can
A 1950s Towle's Log Cabin Syrup Cartoon Tin of Children Playing. The Log Cabin Shaped Lithographed Can Originally Held 2 lbs 1oz. Of Syrup It has a log cabin on the back. There are little cowboys with hats and boots. One is pumping water while another cowboy with 2 six shooters plays with another child dressed as an Indian with a feathered head dress and bow & arrow. A young cowgirl in red shirt, vest and hat sits in the door and plays with her doll while mother cooks over the open fire.
The “Cowboys and Indians” illustration is a harder-to-find Log Cabin tin variation and is a desirable piece for advertising tin, Americana, and pantry collectible collections. This style turns up infrequently, especially in this condition.
Condition
Good vintage condition with light surface wear and scuffs from age/use. graphics are still good and strong showing little damage. Should display very well. No lid/cap.
