Antique Art Nouveau candlestick, from my research this piece is dating to the turn of the 20th century (circa 1898–1908).
I believe this is made of silver-plated brass with a substantial, heavy feel. Features flowing botanical and ribbon motifs typical of the Art Nouveau period.
This piece is not solid silver. The silver plating shows normal age-related wear with brass visible in areas, consistent with early silverplate. The metal is non-magnetic which rules out that this piece is steel or iron.
No maker’s marks present, which is common for silver-plated decorative wares of this era. Heavy weighs 1 lb - 12 oz, stands 13" tall, base is 4.5" circumference.
Condition: Good antique condition with expected surface wear, patina, and minor spotting. No cracks, repairs, or structural damage.
