The latest version of a headphone series featuring Fostex's traditional planar (full-surface) diaphragm (RP diaphragm). As a monitor headphone, it's a culmination of the series, re-tuned for listening purposes from the quality recognized in professional recording environments, achieving a new RP sound.
The wooden construction is excellent in both sound quality and design. It's a semi-open type, but I don't think the sound leakage is as much as you might expect. The downside is that, being made of wood, it's sturdy, so the fit is good, but it's a bit heavy.
There is no outer box, but it comes with a carrying bag for the headphones and two cables (the original 3.5mm and a manufacturer-supplied 4.4mm cable purchased later).
Regarding the condition, there are no issues with sound quality or performance, but there is some wear and tear from use.
