My duck planter art series was done to see how my art style changes as I paint the same subject matter. I aim to paint all of the duck planters in my current collection.
This artwork was inspired by my white duck beanie baby that I found while thrifting. Given my current series of duck planters, I wanted to see how the composition would change if my subject matter was a fabric stuffed toy, rather than a glass object. The final work shows something a bit more animated and alive. I love how I used blues and pinks throughout the piece to exhibit shadows and highlights.
The final artwork is 8inx10in canvas painting in acrylic paint.
