First edition, third printing hardcover copy of Dr. Sax : Faust Part III by Jack Kerouac (Grove Press, 1959). Originally published with a different dust jacket, this is either the first or second printing with this particular jacket - I simply cannot find a copy which states, “second printing”. Rare magical realism novel by the author of On The Road / The Dharma Bums and many others. Jacket is protected in new archival sleeve but with mild rubbing to faces and slight shelf wear around the edges. Boards are straight and clean but with corners slightly bumped. Binding is firm and spine is straight. Some liquid staining to bottom and fore edge of text block, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
