Unusual pitcher with a dog handle. Vintage small pitcher with raised rlief of deer / elk and trees with an applied handle in the shape of a dog. This piece was low quality , high production and so there are manufacturing flaws such as missed areas of glaze, rough patches, casting marks, etc. The piece is lightweight, weighing 15 oz.
The pitcher is in very good condition for its age with the exception of crazing of the glaze over of the piece and a couple of scratches on the top of the dogs head. A spot on the ear seems smooth to the touch like its glazed with no color and not a chip. See photos for condition details.
Stamped Japan on the underside of the base and includes it's original Woolworth's price sticker.
