Originally approached by Beatrix Potter herself, John Beswick Pottery began producing figurines of her classic characters in 1940. Sculpted to be meticulously faithful to her illustrations, each was hand painted with details that brought the pages to life.
Timmy Willie, the gentle country mouse who accidentally travels to the city in The Tale of Johnny Town-Mouse. This first version pose, was modeled by Arthur Gredington and produced 1949-93. Approx. 2.75” tall. BP-2 backstamp. Made in England. No condition issues.
